CreateHere is a Chattanooga based nonprofit, formed in 2007 as an experiment in harnessing the economic potential of creative individuals. Its programs have cultivated and engaged innovators, attracting and retaining some of the city’s brightest minds. Through its MakeWork Grant, CreateHere has awarded $575,000 to 69 area artists and artisans, an investment in Chattanooga’s creative community that has stimulated cultural and economic development for our entire city.

H♥ART Gallery TN offers homeless and other non-traditional artists an opportunity to create and sell their artwork. Through extended programming they supply art materials and mentoring to other non-profit community organizations who can provide a space for their clients to create works of art that will be sold through the gallery at affordable prices. Money from art sales are returned to the artist and the agency for their benefit.

Mark Making, a local nonprofit, strives to enhance our community through the creation of public art while empowering non-professional artists with 21st century problem solving skills. For participants we provide individual empowerment and visual art education; for the city, beautification of visual landscapes; and for local artists, teaching opportunities.
