In celebration of 25 years service to downtown Chattanooga, the River City Company is hosting the Urban Design Challenge. This one year program challenges local architects to showcase their talents by developing concept plans for several locations downtown Chattanooga. The kick off celebration for the Urban Design Challenge will be held at the Chattanoogan Hotel, July 27th beginning at 5:30. The guest speaker for this event is Alex Krieger, professor at Harvard Graduate School of Design and accomplished author of several publications on urban planning and design.
The Urban Design Challenge is made possible by grants to River City Company from the Benwood Foundation, Lyndhurst Foundation and Maclellan Foundation.
