green|spaces has been involved in sustainable construction around the Chattanooga area for 3 years. The Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) has recognized green|spaces with the 2011 Environmental Stewardship Award. According to the award recommendation documents at CSI this award is presented for demonstrating environmental stewardship in a variety of areas. Promoting environmental awareness in the construction industry, practicing sustainable design, or educating others in the advantages of designing for sustainability are key factors for consideration. green|spaces was nominated for this award by the local chapter of CSI. The award ceremony will be held at the CSI Annual Convention in Chicago mid September.
