CLEVELAND, TN: The Museum Center is pleased to host Swing Dance at 5ive Points on Thursday night, November 3 from 7:00-10:30 p.m. This event will be a fundraiser for the museum as well as provide a fun social environment for Lee students and the surrounding community.
Swing Dance at 5ive Points will begin at 7:00 p.m. with instruction from 7:00-8:00 p.m. by Fernando and Nadia Mora of Luv 2 Dance Studio in Cleveland. Open dance will continue until 10:30 p.m. During this event, ages 18 and older will have the opportunity to learn basic partner swing dance and then continue to dance and practice these combinations throughout the rest of the evening. Those already with Swing Dancing skills will have ample time to dance with instructors for assistance in learning new dance combinations.
Music will be provided by DJ, Larz Hanson. There will be concessions sold at this event, but no alcohol. No reservations are required to attend this event. The cost to attend is $7 for adults and $5 for students, pay at the door.
The Museum Center at 5ive Points preserves and interprets the history and culture of the Ocoee District of Southeast Tennessee. The museum hosts exhibits and education programs. The Museum Store sells Appalachian arts and crafts from the region. Hours are Tuesday-Friday, 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Saturday 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. The museum is closed Sunday, Monday & holidays. Admission is $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and students, and free for children under 5. Groups of 12 or more are $4 each. The Museum is free the first Saturday of each month.
