Sam Beall joins us. He is a trained chef. He’s the proprietor of Blackberry Farm ,a place that’s also a restaurant and a country inn serving foothills cuisine. The philosophy of the place is “farm to table”; food grown on the farm is prepared and served right there at the restaurant.
A 2004 Zagat survey named the location as America’s number one small inn.
And Sam Beall was recently a guest on the Martha Stewart show, demonstrating his Blackberry Farm style cooking.

The book has also been a number-one Amazon best seller.
Beall, who spoke to us during a signing at Rock Point Books, says he is a little surprised by the attention.
