REPORTING: RABBIT ZIELKE
The public is invited to participate in the next level of visioning and planning for Chattanooga and the region. Take the Lead:Creating a Livable Chattanooga Region for All Ages will be held at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga on Thursday, May 6th from 8:00 am to 11:30 am. This conference brings together civic and business leaders as well as interested citizens of the scenic city and our neighbors to address future planning.
Following a continental breakfast and welcome, the conference will divide into breakout sessions targeting specific areas that were derived from a community summit last summer. The sessions will discuss transportation, health, lifelong learning, and diversity.
Convened by Mayor Ron Littlefield, “Take the Lead” conference partners include: Choose Chattanooga, Southeast Tennessee Area Agency on Aging & Disabilities, Chattanooga Health and Performance Institute, Chattanooga Leadership Think Tank Roundtable, Leadership Chattanooga, Partners for a Livable Chattanooga, L3—The Learning and Leadership Laboratory, and The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
The conference will be held in the Chattanooga Rooms at the University Center on the campus of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Take the Lead is free and open to the public. Seating is limited and reservations are encouraged. Email Kathy Fulgham with the City of Chattanooga for your reservation.
