REPORTING: RABBIT ZIELKE
More than five years ago a clinic opened in Chattanooga that provides care for people who have no medical insurance and might not be able to afford medical care. This clinic is operated primarily by volunteers and is always absolutely free to the patients. Volunteers in Medicine is a nonprofit faith-based organization that hosts this free medical clinic. Over the course of the past five years the clinic has had over twenty-five thousands patient visits and provided services worth almost thirty million dollars. As a nonprofit organization, they can only provide these services free because of the generosity of the community. If you would like to submit a tax-deductible contribution to the clinic, please visit their website.
