In celebration of National Recovery Month the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Health Department is hosting a celebration of recovery on Friday, September 10th. The event begins with a walk on the Walnut Street Bridge at 10:00 am and then moves to Miller Plaza and Pavilion. People in recovery will share their story and how recovery has changed their lives.
According to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, 1 out of 10 people who need addiction treatment ever get any. This event at Miller Plaza in Chattanooga will provide information on a variety of substance abuse treatment options that just might help someone find the services they need to begin their recovery.
