At Hunter Museum, Art Collection Is Sparking Community Discussions

The Hunter Museum of American Art will present a series of community discussions, starting in March.  These events are called Art + Issues.  On Thursday, March 10th, La Paz de Dios will be at the Hunter Museum to lead a discussion about immigration.  A week after that, the Tennessee River Gorge Trust will be at the museum to lead a discussion on land conservation in Chattanooga.

Katrina Craven, the Hunter’s PR and Marketing Director, joins us for this interview.  She says the basic idea for these discussions is to use pieces from the museum’s art collection as a kind of jumping-off point for dialogue.
