This summer the downtown public library is sponsoring summer reading programs. So far there have been over 3,500 people who have signed up. It’s the second year they have a program for adults, and adults can continue to sign up until July 9th. Some of the programs include bird watching, studying new exotic plants found in Tennessee, and more. Diane Moore, a paraprofessional librarian, recently spoke about how she hopes the community will gain a different perspective about libraries and what they can be used for.
