National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors in Chattanooga

Reporting:  Rabbit Zielke

The National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors (NAWCC) meets regularly to exchange information and appreciation of chronometers.  Antique time pieces are repaired, restored and collected by the thousands of members in this international organization.  The Mid-South Regional Meeting of the association will take place in Chattanooga on September 2nd and 3rd with lectures and displays open to the public.  Members of the NAWCC also enjoy a market to purchase and swap clocks and antiques.  The option to purchase a temporary membership is being offered at the meeting this year which applies to the balance of the annual membership.

NAWCC is hosting antique clock and watch evaluations on Saturday September 3rd and inviting the public to bring in old watches or clocks.  Members of the association will be on hand to evaluate the operation of the clock, provide history and background if they can, and a rough idea of the range of value the time piece may have.  These evaluations are provided to the public free and will be available from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm.
