Now, the communications department at UTC is finishing up production of a documentary about that period of desegregation. It’s called “Reaching the Light: The Story of Desegregation at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.” The film will debut on February 28 at 7 pm at the University Center Auditorium on the UTC campus. Mary Helen Miller recently sat down with Felicia McGhee-Hilt, one of the producers, and Betty Williams, one of the people featured in the documentary.
